• Manage and administer all aspects of a multiple site production ASP Netbackup environment, consisting of multiple Netbackup Master/Media servers, LTO tape libraries, backup-to-disk SAN’s and over 200 Windows, Solaris and Linux clients.
• Document and maintain backup related policies and procedures with emphasis on maintaining client SLA as well as providing information for audit.
• Conduct regular reviews of backup policies with server admins to ensure protection of all critical data.
• Initiate and conduct all vendor hardware and software support cases.
• Serve as primary point of contact for all backup-related audit enquiries.
• Analyze current capacity requirements to project future growth and necessary upgrades.
• Manage offsite tape storage with Iron Mountain. Interface with night support and remote operations personnel regarding tape handling procedures. Document and maintain offsite media inventory.
• Manage backup media inventory. Expiration of older media, purchase and rotation of new media.
• Develop and maintain regular data restore testing schedule.
• Provide off-hours support as necessary.
