Responsibilities:
The Lead Product Development Analyst participates and leads in software design and development of Information Delivery modules with a focus on the Data Mart component. S/he works closely with Product Management, Global Professional Services and customers in identifying enhancements to existing features as well as ideas for new functionality. This individual leads the product from the business side working closely with the development team and technical lead to ensure that the Data Mart component continues to deliver great value to our clients.
This individual is also responsible for laying down the best practices guide, developing test plans, testing the component, creating automated regression test cases, and working with our technical writers to develop product documentation. S/he provides support for escalated client support issues, implementation resources, sales and marketing.
Percentage of time spent on each responsibility:
25% - Researches functional and technical issues and works at becoming an industry expert.
50% - Participates in research and development primarily focused on analysis and QA.
Maintains and executes tests plans and creates and monitors automated regression cases.
20% - Support for escalated client support issues
5% - Provide implementation support and client demonstrations.
Requirements
Knowledge of relational database technology including SQL (Oracle or MS SQL Server), data warehousing experience, and knowledge of multi-tiered software architecture and object orientated technology is a plus. In addition, financial services/ investment management back and middle office experience is also helpful. Must have strong deductive reasoning and diagnostic problem solving skills and a customer service focus.
